Looking for a goal

Posted on Sep 3rd, 2006 by LeisureGoddess : Selfishly oriented towards Feeling LeisureGoddess
I've been thinking about what to write for the 'goals' section of this webpage.

It is not going to take up a lot of space, and it would not take you long to read it either.

My only goal in life is to reach for joy.

That's it.

It's not very lofty sounding but I have imagined there is a Nobel Prize for Joy and I received a gold medal for it.

Really.

Joy is the ultimate trophy as Abraham says and I have to say it's true. I have noticed that I acquire things, go places, eat , drink, wear nice clothes, plant a fabulous garden, keep an immaculate house, read good books, watch great movies, listen to beautiful music, indulge in cross-stitch, jewelry making, card making, gourmet cooking all for the joy of it.

When I am not feeling happy about it, I don't do it. I take a bath (favourite activity), lie in the hammock or just eat really good chocolate until I feel inspired to take action.

It works every time.

Striving for joy in every moment.

Got it!

Let me zip this right over to the 'goals' list.

That wasn't so bad after all. I knew if I rambled on a bit, I would come to some clarity...

Dear LG,

How wonderful and inspiring! I love ask and you shall receive by the way! And one of my favorite lines in the book is that the highest gift we can give to the world is our happiness and joy.
This struck a chord with me and I realized that pursuing my happiness is a gift for all life.

I guess we could rewrite the famous quote about what most people fear is not failure but success. And We might say that what right have we to deprive the world of our joy! For it is our joy that raises the vibrations around us and allows others to experience joy as well. Or at least inpsires them to move toward joy

You sound like you have been perfecting following your bliss and may the divine bless you and yours!

Ciao,

Violetflame
